Just as words fail to describe the immensity and power behind these monster waves, descriptions fall short of capturing the courage and will of the surfers who dare to ride them. The intimacy of the surfers' relationship with the ocean, the complexity of the natural forces at work, and the science used to understand these enormous waves can only be conveyed on a screen as large as the waves themselves.
